A hockey celebration for Stephen and Abby’s lack of shame.

Well, I had every intention of going for a run this morning – the weather has been INCREDIBLE this week. Buuuut, well, this happened last night after hockey:

But really, doesn’t everyone end a great night of field hockey by swigging a bottle of bubbly and eating pizza?

Every year we hold a Summer Solstice party after hockey, and when one of our long time members, and good friend, Stephen, passed away from pancreatic cancer 1.5 years ago (see my post: Saying Goodbye to my Friend), we renamed the event in his honor, And last night was a night he would have loved to have been a part of, so it was nice that we were able to remember him…

This is our awesome goalie, Liam, who has represented Canada in the World Junior Olympics where they won Silver!

After the game, we had ourselves a feast…

And we all took a moment to remember Stephen, who played his last game of field hockey at our Summer Solstice event 2 years ago (see my post: A Fallen Teammate). He was battling the cancer at the time and would pass away only months later, but wanted to still come out and play a bit. I really miss him.

It’s Friday and I am looking forward to a weekend of awesome warm temps!!! But, before I finish, I need to share with you my view in bed at night…

Happy Friday!!!
