Witnessing a miracle for my city and my Friday night date recap!

OMG. OMG. OMG. Yesterday afternoon, I spent 3 hours outside in our football stadium watching my Redblacks fight it out with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats to clinch the East Division and win a place in next week’s Grey Cup. It was a tight game, and in the final 4 minutes of the game, the Tiger-Cats tied it up 28-28. I could barely breathe I was so nervous. And then, with just over 1 minute to play, this happened:

As you can imagine, the stadium ERUPTED. It was total insanity. And I got to be a part of it!! We then road out the final seconds of the game to win it 35-28.

Ottawa, for the first time since 1981 is sending a team to the Grey Cup!!!

Know what else is pretty cool? This was my prediction for the final score:

Ok, ok, update on my date on Friday night?

It was pretty friggin’ awesome.

One of my favorite parts of the evening is when this conversation happened:

Him: …and for me, sleep is really important. I actually go to bed really early.

Me: Really? Me too!

Him: Like, I go to bed between 9-9:30pm

Me: Really?? Me too!!

Seriously, I just about fell off my chair. So I shall now refer to him as BSM – Bedtime SoulMate lol

BSM and I met up again – for dinner last night – and have made plans to see each other this week. So so far, my gut is not telling me anything bad, he goes to bed early, he loves dogs, respects my job and hasn’t discussed marriage. He MIGHT actually be normal! lol

Just before I met BSM dinner, I received a text, OUT OF THE BLUE, from My Gut Knew Guy. The last time I heard from him was in September when he texted me to say he could no longer continue seeing me because I went to bed too early. My response to that text was, “Wow. Disappointed that you couldn’t man up and do this in person or over the phone”. Figured I would never have to hear from him again…but I was wrong. He felt the need to message me this last night:

I have not responded and have no plans of responding…although, I’ll be honest, I would REALLY like to respond with a big ol’ F*** you. But he’s not even worth that.

Oh yeah, and I also played field hockey and did a long run this weekend. But all that was pretty much overshadowed by the football awesomeness!!!

Happy Monday
