An hour of silence with thousands…and the Abby show.

Over 35,000 people gathered downtown Ottawa yesterday to mark Remembrance Day and honour our veterans and fallen soldiers. As I said yesterday, it’s a shame that we’re not all given the day off. When it does fall on a weekend, I make my way downtown to participate in the quiet and respectful ceremony. There is no flashy show, no cheering…just quiet thought and remembrance. As our local newspaper said this morning. “Political leaders were present, but silent. Others had stories to tell.”

The Silver Cross Mother is chosen each year by the Royal Canadian Legion to lay a wreath during the Remembrance Day Ceremonies in Ottawa. She represents all mothers who have lost children in the service of their country.

And now a quick review of my last 12 hours…but you’ll see, someone else is really centre stage.

Last night, I had to work late, so when I got home, I just needed to sit on the couch and veg out watching some mindless TV.

She BARELY qualifies as a lap dog.

Tonight is my team run, so I did strength training this morning…

Squats…I swear she did this purposely.
Clamshells…she is totally trying to attack my face and neck with her tongue!

Push-ups – look at my form fail as I try and keep my face away from her!!

And then finally, I think the TRX pull-ins scared her away!

She is such a brat. lol

Happy Thursday!
