Being a ridiculous girl…and tangling with alligators.

Don’t get me wrong. I know I’m a girl. But there are some days when I’m reminded how much of a girl I can be. I naturally have very curly hair, but like most women, we don’t like what we have, and I just want to have straight hair. And so I straighten my hair pretty much EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. Which for some people, just seems like way too much work. But now I have taken it to a whole new level and I’m questioning my sanity. This is how I looked when I left the house this morning.

Yeah, looks like I just left it curly, right? *sigh* Oh, how I wish it were that simple. No, this look required me to blow dry my hair straight, take the flat iron to it…and then (and I am almost embarrassed to say this), I took a curling wand to it to curl it (again). But it’s cute, right? LOL (but let’s not talk about how much time all that took!)

Monday’s workout was a solid 4 easy miles in Zone 1 heart rate…and another episode of Game of Thrones…although for this one, I did have to ffwd through the final minute when it looked like I was going to have to witness them killing a wolf/dog. FYI, I’m someone who has to ffwd through the Lion King when Mufasa dies because I cry otherwise. Seriously. Cannot take it.

After the run it was strength training:

Left out the weighted squats today because of the knee – although feeling much better, I’m nervous about weighting it too much until I can get down and up from the floor without stabbing pain. Feels fine when I run, climb stairs, etc. and is MUCH better than it was last Friday.

Saw this posted on the FB page of the hospital I work at…

Volunteers make these dolls for children going through chemotherapy – they have removable wigs. SO AWESOME.

Minus -800 degrees out this morning and Abby was having the TIME OF HER LIFE with this pop/soda bottle.

She’s cute, right? Yeah, until you get her under a blanket and she’s an alligator…

Happy Tuesday!

I suffer from curly hair also. Growing up I would straighten it all the time, but now I have grown to love it, and now it even makes me, me.! I’m sure naturally curly hair would look great on you, plus less time doing your hair in the morning 🙂

See I think part of the problem is that I had pin straight hair until about age 17, so I think I still think of msyelf as having straight hair and so fight the curls!! But I will admit, I do like the ability to choose straight or curly if I want!!

Of course i understand the curly-want-to-have-straight hair, but I dont understand straightening then curling! Lol. Plus, my hair wont hold curling iron curls if straightened!😂

Your hair looks soooo pretty!! Love it! Totally have been there, too- blow drying it, straightening it…just to curl it again. I have wavy hair, so it’s frustrating for me on both ends. 🙂
Also, I’m the same exact way with animals. I cannot stand to see an animal hurt or suffering. I always mute my TV and look down until my husband says I can look up. And then I tell him to absolutely NOT tell me what happened. I pretend the animal escaped and is living happily ever after. I love animals so much!!!!! Have a fab day! XOXO

Haha!! Thank you!! I had pin straight hair until high school so I think I am still fighting the curls because I still don’t see it as “me”…but I’ll admit, I loooooove these curls…if only I could wake up with them looking like this!! Lol
