Rocking the track, dinner with the bestest and yeah, I put a candy bar in my coffee, so what?!

Best friends are the best…and when you live hours away from your bestest friend, those few times you get to see them are the best. This is my bestest friend, Erin.

We’ve known each other since grade 9 and we lived together all through university. But we live 4 hours apart and each have busy lives so we only see each other 3-4 times a year. She was in town for work this week and so we got together for dinner. It was awesome.

Abby wasn’t too pleased about me going out for dinner and tried to prevent it by lying on my scarf. She plays the guilt card VERY well.

Last night was track. I have no pictures. BECAUSE IT WAS SO AWESOME I FORGOT TO TAKE ANY. Seriously, I was in such shock (and totally exhausted) that I didn’t take a single pic. People, that is NOT NORMAL for me! LOL

Workout was 4x400m (on 1 minute rest) 2x800m (on 2 minutes rest) 4x400m (1 minute rest). When I showed up, the two girls I paced off of last week weren’t there which meant that the only girl faster than me (who I could potentially pace off of) was the fastest girl. I need to tell you…

She was about 3-4 seconds faster on each interval, but I paced off of her. That is total insanity. I was the number 2 girl last night!! NUMBER TWO!!! Here are my times – not because I think you really care, but because I need to put them up so I can see them!

The best part of it all is that when I did my 800 sub 3 minutes and when I did my last 400 in 1:23, my whole team was excited for me. And when I was thanking Nadine, the “fast girl” I was pacing off of, for holding such a great constant pace and helping me do this, she looked at me with a huge grin on her face, grabbed my hand and said, “That’s what teammates do for each other!”. I heart my team.

Got home last night and someone was VERY happy to see me.

And then she wanted to go outside…

And eat ice. Seriously, That’s all she wanted to do. Such a weirdo.

And this is her right as I’m about to turn off the lights and go to sleep. Ok, I might have been egging her on by having my hand running underneath the duvet which makes her think it’s something to attack

She cracks me up but seriously, she’s like a wild animal, no?

Woke up this morning to THIS amazingness!

Sure, the blowing snow kinda (REALLY) sucked, but it was still “warm”!!

Guess who got their driveway shoveled this morning!? :)))

Workout this morning was 5 easy (Zone 1) miles + this strength work:

Despite a crazy hard workout last night, I felt awesome this morning…and I watched the 3rd last episode of Breaking Bad when (spoiler alert for those somehow more behind than I am!) Hank gets shot!!! So intense.

Ok, maybe I was a little tired…my eyes are clearly closed!

I might have mentioned before that I don’t really like coffee all that much, but I do have one cup every morning while walking Abby…but I add hot chocolate to it…and this is my selection I choose from. My absolute fav is the After Eight. I LOVE mint chocolate!!

Yes, it’s like I have a candy bar each morning…and it’s awesome!!

Happy Friday!

Abby is hilarious. Gotta love her, though. Great times on the track! that’s fantastic stuff there.

And those Aero candy bars used to be my favorite as a kid, but they were called Choco-lites. It wasn’t until a few years ago they came back with a new name and marketing ploy to be a more ‘healthy’ candy bar. yeah….healthy. sure! ๐Ÿ˜‰

I seriously love that dog so much!!

Really, just call the chocolate bar what it is…we’ll enjoy it more if we’re just honest!!!

Thanks for the nod to my track times…I’m still so super stoked!!!

You are such a baller for all that snow shoveling and making things work even though it looks like white death outside. Coffee is necessary being out in that, even if you add cocoa to it! ๐Ÿ˜‰
