After yesterday morning’s awesome speed workout, I was still on a high by the time I got home from work so I ran another 5 miles – felt great! I love that.
I didn’t sleep well last night – not sure why, just really disrupted. I hate that. Not having enough sleep really affects a lot. I discuss that with my patients a lot – how not having a regular sleep schedule can really affect your physical and emotional health. But I work mostly with teenagers, so you can imagine how they react to me suggesting they don’t sleep in until noon on the weekends! LOL!
Needless to say, getting out of bed this morning was a wee bit of a struggle and by the time I got outside with the dog, there was LIGHT – which is so different from my usual walks with her in the dark!
Then I did a solid 10k on the treadmill (while watching Breaking Bad, of course…am halfway through Season 3!).
Tonight however, is what I’m most excited about! It’s our first night of the outdoor field hockey season!! I play indoor in the winter, but being outside is a whole different ball game (ha) and there are a lot of people who only play outdoor so it’ll be nice to see them. Am just trying to ignore how cold it will be by 7pm tonight…I swear, my shin guards are going to be keeping me warm! LOL!
